The storylines from Season 22 weren't really that bad.  "Attack of the
Cybermen" was an OK story, kind of a nice return to Telos that is made all that
much more interesting thanks to the return of "Tomb of the Cybermen".
"Vengeance on Varos" was an interesting story that I wasn't too keen on, but
many found it to be a pretty good send-up of the "Video Nasty" society of the
late 80s.  "Mark of the Rani" I enjoyed, many others didn't...I found it to be
a pretty witty location story, and the character of the Rani had potential
(that wasn't lived up to later in "Time and the Rani", but that's another
story...).  "Two Doctors" was plain fun that lasted a little too long,
"Timelash" was hammy and plodding (but Herbert's substory was fun), and
"Revelation of the Daleks" was all around probably the most solid of the
season.

I thought Colin's outfit was "a twisted cry for help", to paraphrase my
psychologist wife.  Colin's regeneration had not been completely successful,
and his jacket was supposed to symbolize his mismatched personality.  I found
it kind of amusing, if not a little impractical...up to that point, the Doctor
had tried, to some extent, to travel incognito when possible.  When that became
a necessity (Mark of the Rani) Colin managed to do a fair job, but that coat
probably screamed "shoot me!" to potential killers.  I tcertainly made an easy
target through Glitz's gunsight in "Mysterious Planet"...or "Trial Part 1",
depending on how you watched it.  :)

I think Colin should have been given his final season, if nothing else, to
complete the supposed 3-yer story arc that they had reportedly been working on
(according to the Myth makers interviews I've heard about).
